There is nothing better on a cold snowy day than a hot bowl of soup to warm your belly. When I was a kid my favorite soup was my aunts Chicken and Dumplings, made with dropped biscuit dough for a quick meal that would feed a crowd.
My recipe is a take on the one I grew up with, only with homemade dumplings instead of biscuit dough. Not because I am too good for biscuit dough, but because I never seem to have them in my refrigerator to use.
If you want to get your kids involved in the kitchen this is a great starter recipe. My little ones love to help me form the dumplings, and watch them pop up as they cook!
