I have to be honest. From January to July this year we did not make a lot of progress on our debt. We really didn’t make any progress at all. One thing after another seemed to hold us back. It felt like we were constantly trudging along, not praying it would get better, but praying that it simply would not get any worse.
Austen threw my phone into water-twice.
I wrecked my van.
Addi’s laptop broke.
The list goes on…it’s not a fun way to live.
I don’t know what happened in August, but things have started to look up. We were not only able to avoid any major setbacks, but we were able to add money into our snowball. I’m so excited to say that in August we were able to put $550 extra dollars towards our debt. This came from selling some stuff, cutting our grocery budget, and basically not doing anything fun.
But that’s okay because we did it.
Our goal for September is to put even more towards debt. I’d love to put $1000 or more if we can do it. We have tons of things listed on Facebook Marketplace. And I am doing some extra work to bring in a bit more money, although we won’t see it until October.
We’re on board and we are both motivated, I’m so excited!
